Sr Java Developer

Overview Job Title: Sr. Java Developer (5688) Location: Torrance, CA 90501 Duration: 12+ months to 5 years (ongoing project) Responsibilities The position will support a custom CRM application, specifically the operational data or transactional repository. Responsibilities include analysis, design, development, and 24/7 support of production processes and applications. The application consists of batch and real-time components written in Java, DB2, and Informatics. Qualifications Over seven years of Java and Unix SQL development experience. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Advanced Java skills mandatory (Java 5, J2EE, Struts 1.1, EJB 2.1, JSP, SOAP, web services). DB2 or Oracle database experience (DB2 preferred). Experience writing efficient SQL and stored procedures that access several million rows across multiple database tables. Ability to perform query optimization and tuning of complex queries. Experience working with large, multi‑terabyte databases. Familiarity with Unix servers and shell scripting. Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server or WebLogic (WebSphere preferred).
