The accident report must be completed and submitted to the Transportation Supervisor immediately upon return to the transportation department.Monitors and or assists the driver in supervising students and maintains discipline when students are on the bus/van.Transports only authorized students, including any prearranged changes, and discharges students only at authorized stops. Drivers may need to transport additional students on an emergency basis.Reports discipline problems to the bus driver or to the appropriate principal and Transportation Supervisor.Helps the driver keep assigned bus/van clean.Helps keep to assigned schedule.Exercises responsible judgment at all times.Follows all regulations against smoking and eating on the bus or van.Notifies the Transportation Supervisor when lateness or absence from work is necessary.Completes required daily/monthly reports and submits them to the Transportation Supervisor.Promotes a cooperative and professional attitude among colleagues.Performs such other duties as directed by the Transportation Supervisor.Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.Maintains a positive and courteous attitude when dealing with parents and other community members.Participates in in-service training programs as required by law.Work Environment Characteristics:The work environment characteristics, described here, are not listed in order of importance, and are representative of those an employee encounters while completing the duties and responsibilities of this job.
