Facility Operations SupervisorThe Facility Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of plant personnel and operations, such as operation of distillation equipment, product mixing/blending, sampling/loading/offloading tanker trucks and rail cars.Shift: 2nd 3pm-11pm (Mon-Fri)Why work for Clean Harbors?Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!Competitive wagesComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employmentGroup 401K/RRSP with company matching componentOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your careerGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursementPositive and safe work environmentsResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;Performs multiple site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, drum pumping, tank transfers, tanker truck and rail car sampling/offloading/loading in compliance with DOT requirements, operation of distillation equipment and scanning applications for waste tracking;Supervises multiple Solvent Process Operators and Tanker Truck /Rail Car Loaders/Unloaders and plant operations;Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures, holds employee's accountable;Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards;Works under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager or equivalent;Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment;Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.QualificationsHigh School or equivalent3+ years supervisory type experience in Shipping and ReceivingExperience managing larger teams preferredStrong leadership skillsAbility to streamline and improve processesMust work well under pressure and pivot as neededExcellent communication skills written and verbalStrong documentation and organizational skillsComputer literateProficient MS Office Suite – Word, Excel and OutlookProven problem solverExcellent organizational skills.Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.Proficiency in Windows based applications.Knowledge of scanning applications, EOM scanning SOP's, VPI / Pick sheetsProficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations.
