Global freight forwarding leader is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for their branch in Monterey Park, CA! Licensing is not required for this opportunity; however, we would like someone with about 2 years of experience with customs entries. This is a full-time opportunity with benefits and room for continued growth. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM Key Responsibilities: Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments. Classification of shipments and preparation of entry. Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGA’s and familiar with CBP regulations. Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage/Branch/Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department. Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary. Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage-only files. Respond to internal and external (customer) requests. Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems. Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed. Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities. Prepare and post PSC. Desired Qualifications: 2-4 years Customs Brokerage import experience with an extensive and broad range of commodities. Familiarity with ADD/CVD, FDA, EPA, F & W, CBMA, FAA, TTB.
