Mechanical Engineer

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a leading building systems contractor specializing in mechanical, electrical, and technology solutions for commercial and industrial facilities. Responsibilities Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial construction projects. Coordinate with designers, drafters, architects, contractors, owners, and project teams. Develop layouts for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, air distribution, and specialty systems. Design plumbing systems including water, sanitary, vent, grease waste, and natural gas systems. Perform cooling load calculations and energy code compliance calculations. Prepare project specifications, equipment schedules, and plumbing fixture schedules. Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing reviews, submittals, RFIs, and site visits. Assist with permit and construction document preparation. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial projects. Ability to perform cooling load and energy code calculations. Proficiency with engineering design, drafting, and modeling software. Strong coordination and communication skills. Ability to work with clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams. Preferred Qualifications Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Experience supporting construction administration and field activities.
