About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility, maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float to Intermediate Care and Step-Down units as needed, with ratios up to 1:4–1:6
• Operate across multiple inpatient campuses within the regional health system, with shift location communicated same-day prior to shift start
• Deliver high-acuity nursing care in alignment with unit protocols and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience
• Active North Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Ability to float to Intermediate Care and Step-Down units as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Level 1 Trauma environments
• Flexibility and comfort with same-day assignment notifications and variable commute directions
