Consilio’s Direct Hire Recruiting Team is partnering with a mid-sized regional law firm to identify a Community Association Paralegal to join their Falls Church, VA office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior paralegal or legal professional who enjoys analytical work, managing complex matters, and working closely with attorneys to achieve results. Whether you have experience in community association law, collections, litigation, or another legal practice area, we'd love to hear from you. While the ideal candidate has 2+ years of professional office experience, preferably in a law firm, we welcome candidates with one year of substantive internship experience as well. What You'll Do As a Community Association Paralegal, you'll work directly with attorneys, community management companies, and community association clients to support collection matters involving delinquent homeowner assessments. This role is not a collections call-center position. Instead, you'll be responsible for advancing files through the legal process by preparing and managing legal documentation, ensuring compliance with governing documents and applicable laws, and maintaining accurate records throughout the lifecycle of each matter. Key responsibilities include: Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents Managing a high-volume caseload across multiple jurisdictions Preparing and reconciling account balances Conducting online research and utilizing web-based databases Monitoring deadlines and maintaining organized case tracking systems Communicating professionally with attorneys, management companies, board members, and clients Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) Generating reports and documentation for attorneys and clients Reviewing governing documents and applying collection-related provisions accurately Qualifications Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification and/or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies FDCPA: 1 year (Preferred) VA Courts: 1 year (Preferred) Consilio, LLC is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
