Job Family:Data Science ConsultingTravel Required:Up to 10%Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:Our consultants on the AI and Data Defense and Security team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics. This individual will support mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). They will support all phases of analytic development, from the strategic assessment and identification of opportunities to incorporate advanced analysis and automation, through requirements gathering, data collection, performing analyses to delivery actionable intelligence and support law enforcement efforts. This role requires hands on technical expertise and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assess and recommend opportunities to incorporate advanced analysis and automation into current operationsCollecting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets using tools such as Python, R, and SQLDesign and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using Power BIIdentifying patterns, trends, and anomalies to support investigative efforts and operational decision-makingAnalyzing existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and optimizationSummarizing and presenting results and recommendations through written reports and briefingsBalance competing priorities including to supporting quick turn and ad hoc requestsWhat You Will Need:Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS Public TrustBachelors DegreeTHREE (3) or more years of experience in data analytics, data science, business analytics or data engineeringWhat Would Be Nice to Have:An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" Federal or DoD security clearance.
