PGIM Associate Manager, Accounting (Hybrid-Dallas, TX)

What you will do PGIM Real Estate Loan Services currently has an opening in the accounting and finance division at its Dallas location. The position combines accounting and investor reporting responsibilities for loan servicing portfolios. Responsibilities Perform monthly close reasonableness reviews including income analysis, interest accruals, and book‑value roll‑forwards. Reconcile the general ledger for both GAAP and Statutory accounts on a monthly basis between the mortgage loan servicing system and the GL, as well as other downstream reporting systems (unpaid principal balance, escrows, reserves, premium/discount amortization, fee income, interest income, etc.). Maintain and reconcile deferred income/expense items and compare system‑calculated yield to ledger book yields. Prepare month‑end trial balances and other financial reports for all portfolios (e.g., fee income, miscellaneous income, gains/losses, statutory ScheduleB, GAAP supplemental, etc.). Assist with audit requests; SOX experience is helpful. Support the Accounting Manager with ad‑hoc financial analysis and reconciliation tasks as needed. Meet critical month‑end deadlines and reconciliation timelines. Maintain orderly and complete accounting records for audits or management inquiries. Advise the Manager and management on financial items and issues. Prepare daily valuations, financial statements and remittance files while coordinating with internal and external parties related to reporting. Interpret servicing agreements, government regulations, accounting manuals, and loan documents to ensure accounting and reporting requirements are met; prepare applicable journal entries based on reconciliations. Execute and reconcile required asset transfers within designated timeframes. Prepare monthly accruals and market‑value adjustments. Assist with process automation initiatives. Work with third‑party generated loans. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field; minimum Intermediate AccountingI &II required. 3‑5 years of accounting experience in a financial services environment or 2‑3 years in public accounting. 1‑3 years of experience with information systems related to accounting functions. Working knowledge of sub‑ledger to general ledger feeds and databases. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word); experience with MSAccess or SQL is a plus. Ability to multitask, self‑motivate, and prioritize work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Enjoys problem solving and collaborating in a team environment. What will set you apart Mortgage or insurance industry accounting experience and/or CPA designation, though not required.
