Electronic Technician, Maintenance II

Amentum is seeking an Electronic Technician II to join our team at Eielson, AFB, Alaska. This is an intermediate level position that will provide technical support operations across a wide array of aircraft and missions. Typical duties include: laying out, fabricating, and assembling electronic components following predetermined methods and criteria; adjusting, repairing, and modifying systems, working from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and diagrams; repairing and/or replacing malfunctioning units as directed; setting up and operating standard electronic testing equipment; using hand powered and unpowered tools and simple machine power tools to fabricate electronic components; and performing related job duties as required. The duties and requirements listed below are not mutually exclusive. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testing Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition Manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies Identify and report supply discrepancies Conduct inventories and maintain accountability records, including ancillary and support equipment Assist with inspection requirements and implementing approved configuration changes Perform equipment status reporting, maintenance data collection and job documentation Ensure compliance with Amentum’s Quality Control and Safety Programs Perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics required. 2-4 years of experience in electronics maintenance, repair, or operations. Basic knowledge of DC and AC electronics, digital logic, solid-state devices and circuits Familiarity with Radar and High-Power transmitters or similar systems preferred. Ability to interpret manufacturers’ manuals, schematics, and technical documentation to solve routine problems. Proficiency with electronic test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators. Familiarity with electronic, electromechanical and computer systems Basic troubleshooting skills Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
