About the Role

MICIL Health Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist position at a skilled nursing facility in North Dakota.

This leadership role combines clinical nursing leadership responsibilities with oversight of infection prevention and infection control practices within the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care (LTC), skilled nursing, RN leadership, and regulatory compliance, along with a strong commitment to quality resident care.

The selected candidate should be organized, clinically knowledgeable, team-oriented, and capable of supporting nursing operations while maintaining high standards of patient care and infection prevention.

ADON Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of nursing operations and staff support
• Help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support staff coaching and education
• Participate in care planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain quality resident care

Infection Preventionist Responsibilities

• Monitor and track infection prevention data and trends
• Implement and maintain infection control policies and procedures
• Conduct staff education related to infection prevention
• Ensure compliance with CDC and facility infection control standards
• Participate in audits and regulatory preparedness

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Infection prevention or infection control experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and leadership teams

Preferred Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification preferred
• Infection Prevention or Infection Control certification preferred
