BESTAFF is Seeking a Taper

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

BESTAFF is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Taper to join our production team. The Taper is responsible for securing veneer sheets using tape to prevent splitting during production. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality and production efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect veneer sheets to ensure they meet specifications.

• Apply tape to secure veneers and prevent splitting during production.

• Maintain and meet acceptable production levels.

• Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.

• Accurately complete required production documentation.

• Follow lockout-tagout safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

• Good close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

• Ability to communicate effectively (talk and hear)

Education & Experience

Required: None

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED

• 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience
