Job Responsibilities

• Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' requirements and design individualized therapy strategies to support their achievement of personal goals
• Implement Evidence-Based Therapeutic Techniques: Employ scientifically-backed methods to aid in enhancing patients' motor function, cognitive abilities, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide well-rounded and comprehensive care
• Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their families through therapy techniques that encourage continued progress post-session
• Oversee and Document Progress: Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment strategies as necessary to keep patients aligned with their goals

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Continuing education and additional certifications are encouraged and supported

Licensure and Certifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) certification
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
