Location: Fond du Lac, WI

Start Date: 11/16/2026

End Date: 05/17/2027

Shift: Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 12 hours

Hours/week: Variable

Employment Type: PRN (as needed)

Licenses/Certifications: Board-certified in Internal Medicine, BLS and ACLS certifications required, DEA registration

Experience Needed: Minimum 10 inpatient or related outpatient hospital services documented within the past two years

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage, responding to adult patient needs in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with a team of 5-6 healthcare providers, including physicians and possibly APPs
• Attend to ICU and PCU patients, including responding to rapid responses and codes when available
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation
• Ensure patient care continuity during scheduled shifts, including nights, days, or swing shifts
• Support the care of adult patients with diverse medical needs in a hospital environment
• Participate in team efforts to enhance patient outcomes and hospital efficiency

What You Need

• Current licensure and certification in Wisconsin
• Board certification in Internal Medicine
• Valid DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 10 recent documented inpatient or outpatient hospital care instances

Preferred:

• Experience working in hospitalist or inpatient settings
• Ability to work variable shifts and drive to the facility as shifts are not always blocked

About the Assignment This assignment involves inpatient hospitalist coverage at a reputable facility dedicated to delivering excellent patient care. It includes responding to adult patient needs, including ICU and PCU, with support from intensivists and a multidisciplinary team. The role offers flexibility for providers able to work variable shifts and respond as needed without on-call requirements.
