Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday; one Saturday per month, with holidays required.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will facilitate the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. This role involves evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, and performing administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform OT evaluations and treatments.
• Attend care plan meetings and develop care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in professional growth and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Complete necessary administrative duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy.
• BLS certification required.
• Active New Mexico state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Acute care experience is necessary.
