About the Role

Stonehaven is seeking a commercially minded and operationally driven professional to join the Firm's Mandate Management team. This individual will help oversee contract lifecycle management, client onboarding, transaction operations, and operational governance across the Firm's investment banking, placement agency, and secondary trading activities.

The role combines contract negotiation, transaction management, workflow coordination, and operational process improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-facing, technologically capable, and comfortable managing complex, multi-party workflows in a fast-paced financial services environment.

This is a high-impact role with significant visibility across Legal, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and executive leadership. Over time, the position is expected to evolve into broader operational and strategic responsibilities across mandate management and business operations.

What You'll Do

Contract Lifecycle & Transaction Management

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage execution of transactional agreements, including:
• Engagement agreements
• Inter-broker dealer agreements
• NDAs
• Assignment agreements
• Amendments and related documentation
• Coordinate contract negotiations and onboarding workflows with clients, counterparties, Affiliate Partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a primary operational point of contact throughout mandate onboarding and execution processes.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to resolve contractual, operational, and onboarding-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation across contractual and onboarding workflows.

Mandate Operations & Onboarding

• Support operational onboarding workflows related to private market transactions and client engagements.
• Review onboarding and due diligence materials for completeness and conformity with Firm standards.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Operations, and counterparties to facilitate onboarding approvals and resolve deficiencies.
• Maintain onboarding trackers, workflow systems, and operational reporting.
• Assist with ongoing lifecycle management of existing mandates and client relationships.

Operational Governance & Process Improvement

• Help improve the Firm's contract lifecycle management and operational governance infrastructure.
• Maintain data integrity across onboarding, transaction, and contractual workflows.
• Develop dashboards, KPI reporting, and operational analytics related to mandate activity and onboarding performance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through automation, process redesign, and technology enhancements.
• Partner with internal technology teams to improve operational reporting and user experience across Firm systems.

Cross-Functional Initiatives

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and leadership teams on strategic operational initiatives.
• Assist with implementation of new systems, workflows, and operational processes.
• Stay current on private markets trends, transaction structures, regulatory developments, and operational best practices.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree required
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in areas such as:
• Contract management
• Transaction management
• Legal operations
• Commercial operations
• Financial services or private markets operations
• Investment banking operations
• Due diligence or onboarding
• Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and managing transactional agreements
• Ability to manage complex, multi-party workflows and drive execution across stakeholders
• Strong commercial judgment and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and project management capabilities
• High degree of technological aptitude and comfort learning new systems, workflow tools, and AI-enabled platforms to improve business processes and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within alternative investments, private markets, investment banking, placement agency, broker-dealer, or financial services environments
• Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, AML/KYC, and private placement processes
• Experience supporting onboarding, operational due diligence, or transaction workflows
• JD, Paralegal certification and/or securities licenses (Series 7, 24, or 63) are a plus, but not required

Commitment

This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel for team meetings and Firm events. xhyhwjd

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $100,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus an annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
