BrightStar Care of Cincinnati employees uphold A Higher Standard. Responsibilities Provides thoughtful care to client and patients based on personalized Plan of Care. Monitors and tracks changes in the client/patient's conditions and needs and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed. Proactively updates client/patients' family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns. Requirements Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in state for which care is being provided. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing. Pediatric experience Certified in CPR or BLS Physical and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray. Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility, preferred. Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills. Analytic/Critical thinker. Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance. Ability to work on weekends, nights, and holidays. Reliable transportation. Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Care provided in a client's living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues. Personal Protective Equipment May include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required. Travel Requirements Limited travel as needed for various staff and client care service needs. Up to 10% or as directed based on the needs of the business and attending job required training and conferences. Work Environment Client's Environment: Unknown environments; bodily fluids, household and human germs; extreme cold or hot temperatures in or outside; light to heavy traffic; inclement weather; human body weights that vary based on client health and lifting as prescribed or needed per plan of care; 50+ lbs.
