Proto-Town is a hardware campus in Lockhart where companies build real things prototyping, manufacturing, and frontier hardware, all in one place.
We're spinning up a production run of 100 robotic arms and hiring technicians to build them. This is not a maintenance job or a line job at an established plant. You'll be assembling the first hundred units of a new product, which means the process is still being figured out as you go.
What you'll doAssemble robotic arms from drawings and parts kits
Install motors, sensors, and wiring
Test each arm and fix what doesn't work (physically)
Ideal Skillsets
Hands-on assembly experience: robotics, automation, aerospace, automotive, appliance, medical device, electronics manufacturing, or comparable
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and build from them without hand-holding
Comfortable with hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and a multimeter
Capable of operating 3d printers
Genuine attention to detail
Able to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet
