Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.About This RoleAt the core of Compass we believe in the power of community and connection, which is why we are committed to our group-based programming. As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. If you are seeking an opportunity to provide exceptional care, we'd love to have you on our team.Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.What You'll Do:Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups, working with ages 8-14 years oldProviding crisis intervention and staff support, as neededDeveloping and documenting treatment plans and weekly updateCo-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groupsAssisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up callsChecking in with treatment team about changes and progress for individual patientsProviding clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetingsProviding individual support to patients, as neededProviding support to other team members in various treatment groupsProviding guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instructionParticipating in discharge planning for patientsOther duties, as assignedWho You Are:Master's in Social Work/Clinical Counseling or other relevant Master's/Doctoral programsHold or be eligible for one of the following licensures: LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, MSW, AMFT, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD (preferred)1 + year of post-Master's clinical experience, or a relevant master's level internshipPossess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)Experience with patients in crisis, and a strong passion for working within high acuity environmentsWe are committed to a fair and equitable work environment. The expected compensation range for this role is below. This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications.
