Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a growing accounting team during an exciting period of growth. This individual will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with Accounting Leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Perform complex account reconciliations including bank, cash, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while meeting reporting deadlines
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP
• Review financial data, investigate variances, and provide analysis to management
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Support multi-entity and/or multi-location accounting operations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with ERP implementations, system enhancements, and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, and data analysis
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Dynamics GP/D365, SAP, Oracle, Sage, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Experience supporting multi-entity organizations
• Manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare, or professional services experience is a plus
• Experience with process improvements, ERP conversions, or accounting clean-up projects is highly desired

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
