Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides safe, comprehensive patient care for individuals with cardiac and other critical conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and teamwork to ensure optimal health outcomes. This role involves assessment, education, and collaboration within a high-reliability environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process, research, and organizational standards within the relationship-centered care model.
• Assess, prioritize, and evaluate patient needs, integrating clinical skills and critical thinking in patient management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and post-discharge care, promoting understanding and compliance.
• Practice safety protocols, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and escalate hazards following institutional policies.
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities, facilitate patient throughput, and ensure resource availability for effective care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of RN experience in telemetry or medical-surgical settings, with 1-year travel experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Telemetry monitors, ventilators, and EPIC electronic health record system.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; or an Associate degree with relevant experience or ongoing BSN education.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with minimum 2 years of tele, med-surg experience.
