Job Description:

Operate production equipment and wells by applying established operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet the daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource administration. The role supports safe, reliable operations through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment, coordination of maintenance activities, accurate reporting, and effective shift communication. Includes active involvement in emergency response and support to well intervention activities when required.

Responsibilities:

• Implement daily work objectives including housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security practices.
• Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings.
• Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operating conditions.
• Function as an Equipment Care Technician and perform simple maintenance activities using maintenance skills.
• Report when alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service.
• Provide detailed, clear, and accurate shift handover information to ensure operational continuity.
• Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive planning.
• Record all relevant operational events and abnormal situations or deviations in the logbook related to the work area, equipment, or personnel.
• Take product samples for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests.
• Participate actively in emergency response activities.
• Report incidents internally and escalate awareness according to Incident Reporting Guidelines.
• Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed and consulted regarding operations activities.
• Maintain strong communication across the work team so issues and actions are addressed effectively.
• Provide basic facts on well production problems, current production rates, and current well conditions.
• Ensure well problem diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting well intervention operations.
• Ensure the wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to intervention operations taking over responsibility.
• Provide assistance and support to ongoing well intervention operations as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Completed secondary education and prior experience as a Field Technician.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High standard of Safety, Health, and Environment aptitude and ability to cultivate the same in others.
• Extensive knowledge and/or experience in pipeline operations.
• Extensive knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes.
• Strong knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Knowledge of relevant commercial agreements.
• O&G Production Control Room experience.

Pay: $60.55/hr (W2)
