CDL A Yard Jockey (Switcher) – Marion, OH
TransForce is hiring CDL A Yard Jockeys to support operations in Marion, Ohio . This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CDL drivers looking for a home daily position with consistent overnight hours.
About the Position
We have two positions available with the following schedules:
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Job Details
- Route Type: Local
- Freight: No Touch
- Equipment: Well-maintained equipment
- Handling: Safely move trailers throughout the yard
Key Responsibilities
- Safely move trailers throughout the yard.
- Spot trailers into and out of loading dock doors.
- Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers.
- Chock trailers during loading and unloading operations.
- Pull loaded and empty trailers from dock doors.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow all Penske Logistics, DOT, and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and dispatch.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Valid CDL Class A License.
- 12 months of recent, verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one).
- No more than two moving violations or preventable accidents within the past three years.
- Ability to communicate in English in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and licensed in your state of residence.
