ELM provides paid training and utilizes our Launch Point software system with state‑of‑the‑art technology to keep the job simple and efficient. Technicians provide a service to their communities by marking utilities to prevent excavation damage to gas, electric, communications and other critical facilities. Specific Duties Work independently outdoors using a company‑provided vehicle as a mobile office and complete a daily route of locate requests. Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities—including electric and gas lines and, in some areas, communications facilities—using marking paint, flags, and whiskers. Complete all required digital documentation and paperwork. Receive daily route and locate requests by logging in each morning from the vehicle/mobile office handheld smartphone; the day normally starts at your residence and ends after the last job is completed. Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner as directed. Work periodic overtime, weekend, and on‑call rotation may be requested. Specific Qualifications Pass a pre‑employment drug screen, motor vehicle record check, and background check. This is a safety‑sensitive DOT position that must comply with all federal DOT regulations. Use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited. High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license.
