Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.

Blue Origin is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer II to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. In this role you will develop and execute electrical verification procedures — continuity checks, data bus testing, power bus verification, and fault injection — with increasing autonomy alongside senior test engineers. You will capture anomalies, contribute to test reports, and help improve the electrical test program in a high-tempo spacecraft development environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Execute electrical interface checks, continuity/isolation tests, power bus verification, and data bus tests under guidance of senior engineers.

• Perform timing and latency measurements and fault injection tests per approved test procedures; record results against defined pass/fail criteria.

• Develop test procedures under senior engineer guidance; drive procedures through internal review and release.

• Capture test anomalies with sufficient detail for root cause investigation; track anomaly status and support disposition.

• Author test reports summarizing results, anomalies, and open items for assigned test activities.

• Incorporate procedure red-line mark-ups and update documentation following test execution.

• Support test campaign planning: coordinate bench availability, hardware readiness, and test equipment configuration.

• Maintain ESD discipline, bench cleanliness, and configuration accountability during test operations.

• Identify opportunities to improve test procedures or reduce cycle time; escalate recommendations to senior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.

• 2+ years of experience in electrical test, hardware verification, or system integration in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics.

• Ability to operate standard electrical test equipment and interpret data against defined pass/fail criteria.

• Experience developing or executing formal test procedures in a controlled documentation environment.

• Familiarity with anomaly reporting and configuration management processes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear, complete test reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or launch vehicle electrical test at bench, component, or subsystem level.

• Familiarity with data bus protocols: SpaceWire, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, or discrete I/O.

• Basic scripting experience (Python or similar) for test automation or data reduction.

• Familiarity with ESD controls and aerospace workmanship standards.

• Experience using PDM/PLM systems for procedure control (Windchill or equivalent).

Base Pay Range for:

CO applicants is $98,208.00 - $137,491.20 WA applicants is $107,136.00 - $149,990.40
