Automobile Technician

Job Description

The Automobile Technician will perform diagnostics and repairs primarily on passenger vehicles and light trucks, focusing on but not limited to suspension and braking systems. This role requires both independent work and collaboration within a small team. Shop has modern equipment as well supplies many specialty tools and diagnostic software. The technician is responsible for performing necessary repairs and spotting any potential problems related to vehicle safety and functionality.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues
Repair and maintain suspension and brake systems
Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes and state inspections
Replace worn or damaged parts efficiently
Be able to work weekdays 8:00-5:30
Mount and balance tires accurately
Use a variety of tools and shop equipment (lifts, tire changers) properly

Required Qualifications

Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in automobile maintenance
Strong knowledge of vehicle repair and tire mounting
Experience in automotive repairs
Effective problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
NYS Inspection license
