• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Evening (5x8 Hours), 2:00 PM 10:00 PM

Job Summary

This is a long-term care travel/contract nursing position on a 42-bed long-term care unit at a facility in Newark, NY. The unit serves patients with diagnoses including Dementia, Arthritis, CHF, and CVA. First-time travelers are accepted for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide licensed nursing care on a 42-bed long-term care unit
• Float per facility need as required
• Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend (EOW) basis
• Manage patient ratios of 1:21 on Days and Weekends, and 1:42 on Nights
• Care for patients with diagnoses including Dementia, Arthritis, CHF, and CVA

Required Skills

• EPIC proficiency required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:21 (Days/Weekends) and 1:42 (Nights)
• Willingness and ability to float per facility need
• Availability for every-other-weekend coverage

Education Requirements

• LPN License required
• BLS certification required
• NY State LPN/LVN licensure required (NY is not a Compact state)
• 1 year of experience required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of LVN/LPN experience required
• Patient ratio experience required: 1:21

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• 42-bed long-term care unit
• Evening shift: 2:00 PM 10:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• Every-other-weekend coverage required
• Floating required per facility need
• Local candidates not accepted must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
