High School Science Teacher
Job Summary:
Metivta of Queens, a new High School of Excellence catering to the Queens community, is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Science Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to their academic and personal growth. About the Role:
As a High School Science Teacher at Metivta of Queens, you will be responsible for teaching science courses to high school students in a dynamic and engaging environment. Your primary duties will include:
• Teaching Science Courses: Develop and deliver lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students in science courses.
• Creating a Supportive Classroom Environment: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity among students.
• Developing Curriculum: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement science curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
• Communicating with Parents: Keep parents informed about student progress, attendance, and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant science field (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.)
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective classroom instruction and parental communication
