Community Services Direct Support ProfessionalLocation: Broome County, NYSchedule: Part-time, up to 29 hours per weekPay: $17.50- $18.75Benefits: Include medical, dental, vision, retirement, company-paid life and disability coverage, optional voluntary plans, and 33 days of PTO annually for eligible full-time employeesThe Community Services Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care through implementation of Habilitation Plans. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide supervision and all direct care required to maintain safety and comfort of the person receiving servicesTransport or accompany people receiving services on trips to community outings, appointments, or recreation activities for the purpose of community integration and explorationDevelopment and planning of inclusive community activitiesEstablish and maintain positive relationships with area businessesAssist people receiving services with completing daily or routine domestic or personal care tasksFoster and promote skills leading to independent livingAssist with the development of Habilitation Plans and following these plans for training and assistanceProvide training and assist people receiving services to develop, maintain and/or improve desired individual goals, living skills and personal needs as assigned or requiredProvide supervision to people supported during program hours and during community outings as to ensure their health and safetyComplete required documentation in conformance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and billing practices
