Heritage Veterinary Hospital is a small animal / exotics practice committed to high-quality medicine and compassionate care. We pride ourselves on a collaborative team environment, modern equipment, and strong technician support so our doctors can focus on practicing great medicine.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine with the support of experienced staff and a positive, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

Perform physical exams and diagnose medical conditions
Develop and implement treatment plans
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures (based on experience)
Interpret diagnostic tests (radiographs, bloodwork, etc.)
Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver excellent patient care

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
Strong clinical and surgical skills (mentorship available for new grads)
Excellent communication and client service skills
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to high standards of patient care

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience (new graduates welcome to apply)
Interest in dentistry / surgery / urgent care
Fear Free or low-stress handling experience
