What does our IRS Enrolled Agent do?

Our Enrolled Agent plays a critical role in supporting clients with complex tax matters, IRS representation, and tax resolution services while working collaboratively with attorneys, tax professionals, and support staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service regarding audits, collections, appeals, and other tax matters
• Analyze tax transcripts, notices, and financial information to determine appropriate resolution strategies
• Assist clients with installment agreements, Offers in Compromise, penalty abatements, and other tax relief programs
• Conduct tax research and stay current on federal tax laws, regulations, and IRS procedures
• Communicate directly with clients, the IRS, and other taxing authorities regarding case status and resolution options
• Prepare financial statements, collection information statements, and supporting documentation for tax resolution matters
• Maintain accurate records, case notes, billing, and deadlines
• Collaborate with attorneys and advisors on complex tax and estate planning matters
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, IRS regulations, and professional standards
• Provide exceptional client service and guidance throughout the tax resolution process

What you bring to the team!

Education and Experience

•  Active IRS Enrolled Agent credential required
• Experience representing clients before the IRS
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client service skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and cases simultaneously
• Prior law firm, CPA firm, or tax resolution experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and composition
• Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly
• Ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload with critical deadlines
• Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed normal business office environment. The ability to share workspace, travel by car or train, dress in proper business attire, attend meetings and meet deadlines are all requirements of this position.

Compensation details: 65000-85000 Yearly Salary
