Purchasing Specialist

Express Employment is looking for a Purchasing Specialist temp to hire. This position requires 3+ years of current experience. (Associates must meet requirements as stated in the handbook) Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (work hours varies) Pay: $30 - $35/Hour Job Description Procured raw materials, components, fabrication services, and outsourced assemblies to support agricultural equipment manufacturing. Negotiated supplier pricing, contracts, and terms to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. Partnered with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure materials met technical and operational requirements. Managed inventory levels based on production schedules and demand forecasts. Evaluated supplier performance, resolved supply issues, and implemented corrective actions when needed. Identified and implemented cost‑reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and process improvements. Ensured compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Utilized ERP/MRP systems to manage purchase orders, inventory transactions, and procurement activities. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and hands‑on problem‑solving skills. All other duties assigned by Supervisor. Requirements Minimum 3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in agricultural equipment or heavy machinery industries. Strong understanding of mechanical components, steel fabrication, hydraulics, and commodity materials. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build strong supplier relationships. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in ISO manufacturing environments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and JIT inventory systems. Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics. Location: Oroville, CA #J-18808-Ljbffr
