HiFyve is hiring a Controls Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Columbus, OH!
Pay: $34–$36/hr + $0.50/hr shift differential
Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (Mon–Fri + mandatory OT)
Location: Columbus, OH
Benefits: Full benefits package
About the Role
This role supports plant operations through electrical and automation troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Support PLC and robot programming/troubleshooting
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment
- Install and modify control panels, relays, and electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
- Maintain documentation and ensure system updates are captured
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO and electrical standards
Qualifications
- Associate degree or 1–2+ years of related experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and controls knowledge
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
