Responsibilities may include: Supervising and participating in age‑appropriate activities Preparing simple meals or snacks Helping with bedtime routines (for evening jobs) Performing light cleanup related to child care Following family instructions and household routines Qualifications At least 18 years old 1+ year of child care experience (babysitting, nannying, tutoring, camps, daycare, etc.) Authorized to work in the U.S. Reliable transportation (personal car, public transit, or rideshare) Dependable, responsible, and strong communication skills Compensation Typical pay ranges from $15 – $25 per hour, depending on the job, your experience, and the location. Payments are handled directly between the family and the sitter, outside of Sittercity’s platform.
