KC STEM Alliance Math Program Coordinator

Role Overview The Math Program Coordinator will support the design and implementation of a new math initiative in Kansas City. Initially to pilot and later scale regionally over five years, playing a key role in strengthening relationships within the STEM community and partner districts. Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with educators, school staff, community partners and volunteers. Develop and deliver high-quality volunteer training. Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of STEM Outreach on regional growth plans. Partner with external evaluators to implement data‑driven evaluation plans. Represent the initiative as regional ambassador. Attend KC STEM Alliance team meetings and STEM Connect KC ecosystem meetings. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Sense of urgency. Team‑oriented, self‑directed without close supervision. Desire to learn about stakeholders and the ecosystem. Passion for STEM access for all students. Proficient in PC, Office, Windows, Word, Excel. Excellent time management, attention to detail. Collaborative problem‑solving. Formal math education not required. Compensation and Hours Project‑based contractor engagement, 30 hours per week, $40,000 annually, no benefits.
