Position Summary ACT stands for “Access to Collaborative Treatment.” It is a model of care in which primary care providers and mental health providers collaborate to deliver effective services for mental and emotional disturbances, including trauma, depression, and anxiety. ACT uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach, recognizing environmental factors that affect health. Evidence-based interventions include, but are not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. The ACT Clinician educates clients about mental health concerns and interventions. The ACT Program Manager attends Outpatient Clinic and other interdepartmental meetings, supervises the ACT clinicians, and manages their time in the Kronos time keeping system. The ACT Program Manager fosters communication and collaboration among Outpatient Clinic disciplines to provide ethical, appropriate, and effective services and care to clients. Responsibilities Supervise ACT clinicians by providing clinical supervision and support. Ensure ACT clinicians provide ethical, appropriate, and effective services. Monitor ACT services and implement updates to reflect current treatment philosophies and population needs. Attend relevant Outpatient Clinic and interdepartmental meetings. Support collaboration across disciplines to deliver trauma-informed, client-centered care. Qualifications Minimum Education: Master’s degree in a human services related field (social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology). Prefer three years of sobriety if in recovery. Minimum Experience: Completed the clinical practicum as part of the Master’s degree; minimum 5 years clinical experience in a relevant setting; experience and proficiency in clinical/therapeutic settings including assessments, crisis intervention, creating therapeutic goals and treatment plans; clinical supervisory experience preferred. Licensure/Certification: Appropriate State of Alaska licensure for licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor within 6 months of hire. Equipment/Tools: Basic computer knowledge and ability to use standard office equipment. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; sensitivity to diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds; ability to work with diverse teams, build consensus, and motivate change; ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of people. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises ACT clinicians, ensures quality of services, and participates in ongoing program improvements.
