Power BI Developer

Responsibilities:

Be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle including, requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, training, implementation and support of reporting applications to be used internally by our employees.

Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights

Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish

Load and transform using Power Query

Interface with other teams and departments to develop new and modify existing reporting applications.

Develop front end reporting applications using Microsoft Power BI (including DAX)

Provide data and programming expertise to meet internal ad hoc data requirements.

Provide production support (generally during normal business hours) for scheduled reporting activities.

Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop appropriate reports to monitor datasets used by the Business Intelligence community.

Must have skills:

4+ years of recent experience working with Microsoft Power BI applications

4+ years developing queries, consuming data and actively working with it in Power BI

4+ years of data warehouse and business intelligence experience with common industry tools and methodologies

4+ years of experience with Power BI Dashboards

4+ years of experience with DAX

Knowledgeable in performance tuning

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex coding issues that require back tracing logic through multiple packages, stored procs and data sources.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to communicate with business managers and end users.

Advanced level of knowledge of M-Query and DAX.

Proven success in enterprise architecture, business information modeling, and system design.

Extensive knowledge of business intelligence best practices, processes, tools, standards, and methodologies.
