Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
Pay Rate: $40 per hour

We are seeking Experienced Electrical Mechanic to support complex electrical work on highly specialized aircraft systems. This role involves installation, repair, troubleshooting, and modification of wiring systems, harnesses, and electrical components in a dynamic aviation environment.

Position Responsibilities Electrical Assembly, Installation & Modification

• Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring .

• Route harnesses and apply proper handling techniques.

• Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables per standard processes.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements .

• Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modifications and repair of electrical wiring.

• Perform assembly, installation, visual inspections, and quality checks of electrical assemblies, wire bundles, and aircraft systems.

Troubleshooting & Diagnosis

• Troubleshoot organizational and depot level malfunctions in aircraft electrical and comm/nav systems.

• Interpret work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, and electronic orders .

Material Handling & Equipment Operation

• Move materials and tools; operate riding-type electric powered elevating equipment.

• Maintain all certifications, permits, and licenses required for assigned work.

• Perform duties of lower electrical classifications as necessary.

Physical & Safety Requirements

You must be able to:

• Ascend/descend vertical ladders and work in confined spaces.

• Lift approximately 35 lbs. ; occasionally participate in 2 person lifts over 50 lbs.

• Work on elevated platforms; tolerate noise exposure.

• Use PPE for face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms.

• Pass visual acuity and color perception tests .

• Work with and properly dispose of hazardous materials.

• Perform frequent overhead reaching, walking, standing on uneven surfaces, ladder climbing, balancing, crawling, squatting, bending, stooping, and operating foot controls.

• Work with occasional metal contact and frequent noise exposure.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

• 10+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories, avionics systems, shop math, and aircraft electrical practices.

• 10+ years working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and SOPs.

• 10+ years of component and wire installation experience, including repairing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting systems.

• Experience fabricating new wire bundles .

• Experience routing and installing wire bundles without existing wiring (commercial routing experience preferred).

• Ability to work variable shifts , including weekends and overtime.

Pay Details: $40.00 per hour
