Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy assistant services under supervision to assess and treat residents, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, range of motion, and functional tasks.
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising OT, document progress, and collect data for outcomes.
• Assist with therapy screening, periodic re-evaluations, and progress reporting to the OT and the care team.
• Support patients in strengthening, balance,ADL adaptations, and cognitive activities as outlined in the Plan of Care.
• Maintain patient safety during therapy sessions, assist with positioning and transfers, and monitor for changes in condition; report concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with the therapy and nursing teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate discharge planning.

Requirements

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification; Montana licensure or licensure eligibility as required by state regulations.
• Graduation from an accredited OTA program.
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and participate in a 13-week travel assignment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document and communicate progress effectively.
• Availability to work during daytime hours for a 13-week assignment.
