Consumer Loan Processor

Under the general supervision of the lending management team, this position is responsible for building and maintaining successful member relationships by funding and servicing loans to the member's complete satisfaction. Ensures that supporting documentation and records are accurately prepared according to Cross Valley's policies. Meets or exceeds all funding goals with minimum errors and processes pending loans in a timely consistent manner.

• Fund a minimum of established credit union goal in loan volume each month.
• Actively seeks opportunities to increase loan volume. Consistently meets or exceeds goals.
• Maintain a 5% maximum error rating on total loans funded each month while consistently meeting deadlines, funding goals, and efficiency requirements.
• Successfully and completely processes consumer loan applications, consumer loan funding, all forms of loan maintenance (skip-a-pay), due date changes, DST and DBO set up, payment corrections etc) and other loan relations transactions, (moving loans, loan payments, share/draft purchases, withdrawals or transfers, etc)
• Assemble loan and title packets for submission to appropriate loan operations staff within 3 business days of funding.
• Accurately determine invoice and wholesale values for various types of collateral.
• Displays commitment to excellent member service and strong interpersonal skills by building and maintaining positive relationships with various vendors, internal partners, and team members.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Follows up with key individuals immediately (within 24 hours) to resolve problems or respond to inquiries.
• Stay up-to-date on all current applicable industry standards
• Effectively manages time and resources
• Proactively finds opportunities to support the lending department's goals and works collaboratively with others.
• Comply with all credit union policies and procedures.
• Observe an ethical and secure work environment
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Core competencies and skills include customer service skills, excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Familiar with PC's and applicable software including Outlook, Teams and Excel. Strong financial, problem-solving and analytical skills, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.

Working conditions/physical demands include the ability to sit for extended periods of time, communicate effectively in English, both orally, in writing, and electronic channels, visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading, sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment, ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects, and ability to travel occasionally for credit union functions and to other locations to provide coverage if needed.
