Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories and performing detailed assessments to design personalized treatment plans.
• Discuss evaluation results and treatment goals with patients and their families, actively involving them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Implement therapy protocols based on evaluations and continually assess patient progress and conditions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Document all patient care accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and transparent communication of patient status.
• Participate in interdisciplinary consultations when required, recognizing changes in patient conditions that necessitate additional medical or rehabilitation input.
• Maintain an organized schedule, demonstrating effective time management to meet productivity targets while ensuring quality patient interactions.
• Engage in departmental initiatives, marketing efforts, and community outreach programs to enhance the visibility and accessibility of our services.
• Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals through active participation in quality improvement projects and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional growth opportunities, including serving as a clinical instructor for student interns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The outpatient clinic serves a diverse clientele, ranging from post-operative patients to those recovering from sports injuries, chronic pain management, and neurological impairments. Our Physical Therapists are instrumental in tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring they receive empowering, patient-centered care that fosters progress and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Current state licensure as required for physical therapy practice in New York.
• American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• No prior work experience is required, making this an ideal opportunity for new graduates.
