Initially, this leadership role will lead the Cost Accounting workstream to divest the Microbiology Division (MBD), with a focus on S/4 Hana ERP transformation. This role will collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, IT, Operations, and Product Data Management. Key project deliverables include enforcing global governance standards, ensuring standard costing excellence, driving best practice data governance standards across a complex, multi-plant matrixed environment, and enabling accurate OCOGS reporting. After project completion this role will lead and collaborate on LSG, BPG, SDG, and/or AIG projects, but may also provide support to other Thermo Fisher Groups. This role will engage with finance leadership at group and division levels to ensure seamless execution of company, group, divisional and functional projects. This position will report to the Director, Finance Projects.What you will do:Manage and develop a team of 2 direct reports to ensure we develop strategic partnerships as well as providing clear career paths for all team membersSupport business migration and transition into core company ERPs (e.g. SAP S/4 Hana and E1), with specific emphasis on migration to the manufacturing moduleInfluence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across global teams to ensure successful execution of transformation objectivesProvide updates to senior management with focus on decisions, issues, and risksLead project related change management including communication and training.Identify and ensure that business requirements are met within a projectPerform data validation and controls testing to ensure automated processes maintain accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during setup, testing, and go-live, and post go-live.Challenge the status quo, proactively identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation, and/or collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g. IT, COEs) to standardize processes, drive process improvements, and drive system enhancements.Assess and implement opportunities to use AI/machine learning/generative AI tools to improve reporting efficiency, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and insight generation.Support ad-hoc internal, group, and corporate requests as needed.How you will get here:Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business related field Experience8+ years relevant experience in financeDemonstrates and drives the Thermo Fisher values – Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation (The Four I's)Strong, hands-on expertise with SAP (ECC, S/4) costing modules.Cost Accounting and/or Operations Finance experience with knowledge of key accounting principles and financial reportingExperience working in a global, matrixed environment preferredStrong team building skills and ability to work with a diverse group of customers in a global-matrixed environmentProven track record in attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining high-potential talentSelf-motivated; bias for actionTravel requirementsLess than 25% domestic/international travel requiredCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in is £65,300.00–£97,925.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
