Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant - Marketing Direct Print and Direct Mail

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant to join the Corporate Services Strategic Sourcing team, part of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). This role will support Marketing, Brand Management, and Public Affairs sourcing initiatives, with a primary focus on direct print, direct mail, print production, mailing services, fulfillment, and related marketing execution services.In this role, you will:Lead Sourcing Strategy and Category ManagementLead end-to-end sourcing activities for complex Marketing, Brand Management, and Public Affairs supplier engagements, including direct print, direct mail, print production, mailing services, fulfillment, communications, public relations, research, events, sponsorships, and related marketing execution services.Develop and execute category strategies for direct print and direct mail services, including offset and digital printing, variable data printing, personalization, prepress, proofing, finishing, kitting, warehousing, fulfillment, postal optimization, and campaign execution.Assess direct print and direct mail supplier portfolios to identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, print specification standardization, volume leverage, postal savings, improved cycle times, quality management, and service model optimization.Review expiring agreements and support timely renewals or competitive sourcing events while identifying opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, service improvements, sustainability, and value creation.Contract Negotiation & Commercial ManagementLead supplier negotiations, including category and negotiation strategy development, vendor communications, proposal evaluations, and award recommendations.Negotiate commercial models for print production and direct mail services, including unit pricing, rate cards, volume tiers, postage pass-throughs, paper and substrate costs, inventory management, storage, fulfillment, kitting, mailing services, service-level commitments, renewal caps, and price adjustment mechanisms.Negotiate contract provisions supporting secure and compliant handling of customer and campaign data, including data use limitations, address list management, privacy obligations, print file controls, chain-of-custody expectations, quality assurance, and incident notification requirements.Negotiate commercial, operational, legal, governance, and risk-related terms while balancing stakeholder objectives, business timelines, and enterprise risk requirements.Draft, review, and manage contract language to address evolving business, regulatory, operational, brand, and market requirements.Supplier Relationship & Risk ManagementManage strategic supplier relationships throughout the contract lifecycle, driving performance, customer satisfaction, service improvements, and value realization.Partner with Legal, Information Security, Third Party Risk Management, and Finance to support compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.Evaluate supplier controls, including data security, physical security, print production controls, quality assurance procedures, proofing and approval workflows, business continuity, subcontractor oversight, and handling of customer or campaign data.Resolve supplier disputes and proactively address supplier performance or risk concerns.Stakeholder Partnership & GovernanceBuild and maintain relationships with business partners, senior leaders, suppliers, and key stakeholders.Partner with business units to define requirements, execute RFx events, evaluate suppliers, and support vendor selection decisions.Drive stakeholder alignment on sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, contract terms, risk decisions, and implementation plans.Serve as a central point of coordination for sourcing initiatives across multiple business groups.Compliance, Reporting & ImplementationEnsure contracts and sourcing activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements, including data privacy laws, customer communications standards, brand guidelines, postal requirements, supplier risk management expectations, and requirements impacting the handling of customer, campaign, and mailing data.Lead projects supporting regulatory compliance and sourcing process improvements.Track, communicate, and report sourcing progress, realized value, risk considerations, and implementation readiness.Leadership & Subject Matter ExpertiseProvide guidance, coaching, and subject matter expertise to less experienced sourcing professionals, Buyers, and business partners.Serve as a trusted advisor for complex sourcing and supplier management decisions, including direct print and direct mail supplier landscape trends, pricing benchmarks, postal optimization, production capabilities, brand execution needs, and Public Affairs communications requirements.Required Qualifications:2+ years of sourcing or procurement experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Experience drafting, reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including contract terms, risk considerations, and commercial impacts.Sourcing and contract negotiation experience supporting Marketing, Brand Management, and Public Affairs categories, including direct print, direct mail, print production, fulfillment, communications, public relations, events, sponsorships, and related marketing execution services.Direct print and direct mail category experience, including offset printing, digital printing, variable data printing, prepress, proofing, color management, paper specifications, finishing, inserting, kitting, warehousing, fulfillment, and mailing services.Experience with direct mail supplier capabilities, including address list processing, NCOA updates, presort, commingling, Intelligent Mail Barcode tracking, postal optimization, delivery performance, and secure handling of customer mailing data.Knowledge of marketing execution and brand management supply chains, including creative production, print specifications, campaign versioning, personalization, quality control, inventory management, sustainability considerations, supplier performance metrics, and brand consistency requirements.Experience negotiating contract terms for print, mail, fulfillment, and communications suppliers, including service levels, quality standards, turnaround times, postal and freight cost treatment, inventory controls, subcontractor management, audit rights, confidentiality, data protection, and transition support.Proven success leading end-to-end strategic sourcing engagements and supplier negotiations within a large, complex, highly regulated organization.Ability to advise Marketing, Brand Management, and Public Affairs stakeholders on supplier strategy, contract structure, sourcing approach, print and direct mail production models, risk considerations, implementation readiness, and supplier performance opportunities.Strong commercial, financial, benchmarking, and spend analysis skills, including print specification analysis, volume consolidation, rate card evaluation, postage and freight analysis, supplier performance metrics, and pricing benchmarks.Ability to effectively manage cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Risk, Finance, Technology, Information Security, Third Party Risk Management, and senior business leaders.Knowledge of banking regulations, third-party risk management practices, supplier governance, data privacy regulations, customer communications requirements, postal compliance considerations, and regulatory requirements impacting supplier engagements and customer data use.Proficiency with strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract lifecycle management tools, including Ariba, RFx processes, e-auction platforms, spend analytics, supplier scorecards, print and mail production reporting, and benchmarking tools.Excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and drive consensus.Strong project management, time management, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Professional
