As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patroller in Long Island City, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.32 / Hour Job Schedule: Sun: 11:00 AM – 07:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verifying credentials and/or permissions according to location procedures while reporting concerns to site management. Support daily operations by observing for potential hazards, equipment issues, and/or policy violations, then reporting findings through required logs, reports, and communication channels. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
