Position HighlightsDepartment: Urgent Care Old SaybrookWork Schedule: Per DiemPosition SummaryPerforms imaging procedures for patients in Urgent Care environment to ensure high-quality patient care. May also perform tasks of Medical Assistant as needed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision or direction:Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures and in accordance with the health system policies, protocols and standards.Demonstrates proficiency in the operation of all relevant equipment and computer systems.Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints.Ensures proper documentation as needed in the EMR system.Uses initiative, good judgment and technical expertise to perform a wide-range of imaging procedures. Applies the principles of teamwork in all aspects of providing patient services.
