E&I Quality Control Manager

We're looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Quality Control Manager to lead quality execution across multiple industrial construction projects. This position supports major oil & gas, energy, industrial, and EPC construction projects throughout the Permian Basin and surrounding areas.
What You'll Do
As the E&I Quality Control Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met from installation through commissioning and project turnover.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the E&I Quality Control program across multiple projects.
- Supervise quality inspectors, third-party testing agencies, and field quality personnel.
- Conduct audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and quality documentation reviews.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and contract documents.
- Manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), turnover packages, NCRs, punch lists, corrective actions, and project quality records.
- Coordinate electrical and instrumentation testing, commissioning, and final turnover activities.
- Troubleshoot field quality issues and drive timely resolutions.
- Track and report quality metrics, trends, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train project teams on quality processes, inspection requirements, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
? 5+ years of E&I Quality Management experience within industrial construction, oil & gas, energy, maintenance, or EPC environments
? Strong understanding of:
- Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Control
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety
- Installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and turnover
- Quality documentation, NCRs, corrective actions, and inspection records
? Experience leading quality inspectors, subcontractors, and third-party testing organizations
? Ability to read and interpret:
- IFC drawings
- Construction specifications
- Inspection & test procedures
- Electrical and instrumentation documentation
? Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
? Willingness to travel to project sites
