What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU/SICU setting.
• Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation procedures.
• Monitor and document patient status using Meditech Expanse EMR system.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform bedside procedures such as CVL management and Foley cath placement.
• Support patient recovery from respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, and post-surgical complications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital protocols to ensure safety and compliance.

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure.
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience, specifically in critical care or med-surg.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Skills: Vent management, stroke care experience, ability to perform intubation/extubation, CVL management, NGT/PEG feedings, pass EKG competency.

Preferred:

• Prior ICU/SICU experience, ventilator management skills, ability to float to med-surg units comfortably.
