TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Lubbock, Texas, 79410!

ICU RN Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit 13 weeks Day Shift 3x12 Hours Minimum 1 year ICU experience required Compact license must be in hand upon submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, OCN Description: This position is for a first-time ICU RN. The position requires floating between units. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Block scheduling is required based on unit needs. The expected patient ratios are 1:2 to 1:3. Travel experience is required. Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Special skills include managing arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients. Nurses will also manage patients on ECMO and CRRT. Knowledge of emergency medications and procedures is necessary. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including respiratory and renal disorders, sepsis, and post-cardiac arrest care. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit has a daily census of approximately 13 patients. Professionals should demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking abilities. Candidates must commit to working holidays as specified. References will be required prior to the start of the assignment. Travelers may float between sister facilities. Failure to float may result in termination of the assignment.
