Position Overview
We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Lead Teachers to join our early childhood education team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting the growth and development of children ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years old . The ideal candidate is nurturing, adaptable, and experienced in leading classroom activities while fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a classroom of young children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-interaction setting
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Psychology , or a related field
OR
High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least 40 hours of coursework in early childhood education or a related discipline
OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience - Minimum of 2 years of formal experience working with children (paid or unpaid)
- Prior experience in a lead teacher or classroom leadership role
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-interaction, and sometimes noisy environment
- Adaptability to changing needs and classroom dynamics
- Frequent bending and movement
- Ability to climb stairs and occasional ladder use
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
- Experience working specifically with infants (6 weeks to 2 years old)
- Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education
