Registered Nurse - ICU

Experience is required in neuro and trauma patient care. The unit manages a variety of patient types, including medical, surgical, trauma, neuro, ortho, and interventional cases. Patient ratios are 1:2 based on acuity, with the possibility of a 3rd patient during discharge or transfer. Travelers may float to other units if they have the necessary experience. Support on the unit includes charge nurses, resource nurses, and in-house intensivists. Charting is done using a preferred electronic medical record system. Weekend rotation is required, with expectations for holiday coverage based on unit need. All time-off requests must be approved by management.

ASAP start needed. Must-have: Neuro and trauma experience EVD and ICP monitoring Ventilator management Critical care drips Drain management Stroke experience Hemodynamic lines (A-lines/CVP) Cardiac rhythm recognition Chest tubes and tracheostomy care Strong assessment skills

Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7A-7P Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS PALS (preferred)
